Saare neta chor NAHI hai!!

I am pretty well aware of millions of posts in which the writers appeal people to stop cursing our Netas and start contributing towards the development of the nation, so this is not such a post rather its the opposite of such posts.

At the end of this year I would have spent a quarter of century on earth and 99.999999% percent of that Time has been spent on my Motherland and beloved Indian soil. Though this period is very minute when compared to the vast history of the country but this the longest I have witnessed so I can only account for this. This year India celebrated world's largest democratic elections, which saw 1/6th of the world's population choose its leader for the next 5 years. It wasn't the first time I experienced this phenomenon but this indeed was the first time I took real interest in it.

Though every election affect each and every citizen of India, directly or indirectly,  I haven't seen people taking so much interest in it. The main cause,  I believe, is the loss of trust on the Indian Politicians. But, this election was different, this time voter card holders had a ray of hope, something to look forward to, this time they had a hero.

On 16th May when the counting of the votes begun, people were stuck on the TV sets/laptops/Computers with the same enthusiasm and anticipation they used to do when Tendulkar used to spread his magic on the cricket ground, cheering every run vote and hoping for more. Once the mandate was clear all we could see on each others face was a glitter of hope and sigh of fulfillment of prayers. India was celebrating the occasion like never before.

This is the first time in my life that I don't hear the popular phases during political discussions :

"are sab neta sale chor hai"
"Kya hoga vote de ke, aaj ye loot raha h kal vo aa jayega"
"Kuch nahi ho sakta is desh ka"
"Lo bhai, gaya desh pani me"
etc....
etc..

rather they have given space to new ones,

"Acche din aane wale hai"
"Ye waise nahi h yaar, ye sabko sudhar dega"
"Aisha hona chahiye neta, pappu jaisa nahi"

Indians are used to getting freebies, cash, alcohol, false promises, their caste/religion fundas but they weren't used to what they got this time : HOPE. Hope of a better tomorrow, Hope of a better India and this has changed everything.

All the very best to every India and all the very best to the New PM.

The Sex Starved Nation

Yesterday a pathetic political leader made one of the most awful and painful comments ever on rapes.

"Boys make mistakes, we shouldn't hang them for that"

But here is the point, instead of being judgmental of him, I believe, this is the time for an introspection of ourselves and our society. The leader who made that comment isn't a small time leader, He is F****** president of a National party and is on the run for Prime Minister post of our Country. From his statement we can very well conclude that he is a-hole but we are the ones who have voted him to power, he is a bloody  law maker of our country , so what does this makes us???

Most of the people with a cosy job and salary ain't committing such heinous crimes against women. So is it because they have very high morale grounds or they respect women a lot, the answer is a BIG NO!!!! come on take the bitter truth down your throat, when was the last time a girl with wearing so called "western" and "non traditional" dress passed you and you weren't judgmental about her or didn't pass cheap comments to your buddy?? The only reason such people ain't committing such crimes is the fact that they are scared of losing their cosy and comfortable life if caught!! If they have a source of guarantee that they wouldn't be caught or even if they are caught, they will get away with it then there is nothing that is stopping them.

Now compare yourself with a menial laborer or small time worker. Do you think they are different from you?? the only difference between you and such people is that fact that they live in a wormhole so even if they are caught and sent to prison, the life isn't changing much. if that's the case then why not live the fantasy, why hold back!!

And for all the hypo-crates who believe that this is not our culture and its happening because of western culture, Just keep your damn mouth shut and look back at your history:

1. The kamasutra : Your ancestors wrote the most elaborated and exquisite book on sexual pleasure in the history of mankind.(Did they write the book because they didn't like sex??)

 2. The apsaras : Your gods have most beautiful girls in the world for entertainment (somebody please explain the difference between that and a beer bar or even a strip club)

3. The khajurao : Your temples are decorated with so erotic sculptures that even R&D department of any of the porn movie house isn't able to emulate.

BhaNg Milkha BhaNg

Holi Hai!!

Fact 1: Red, Green and Blue are the basic colors of light, with various combinations of these 3 colors, indefinite possible colors can be formed.

Fact 2:  Fact 1 was discovered after the first holi celebration.

"Holi" one of the photo album labels with most awesome memories. Days of preparation with the colors, water balloons, fancy pitchkaries and multiple trips to Gupta Stationary with Mom's long shopping lists all boils down to the spectacular memories of dragging your best friends into the pool of colors and mud, revenging your honor by mashing the faces of your science and maths teachers, who always ask you the ONLY formula you can't recollect at that time , the gujjiyas, the malpuas, the dahi bades and of course the yaba-daba-doooo feeling of touching your crush's cheeks.

Timing of Holi festival has always been impeccable , the entropy is even less than atomic clocks!! Holi occurs, each year after year on the day just before your one final term exam in which you were hoping for some extra time, but I bet that didn't steal any fun from the festival not even the most scariest of all, the T-rex of all the examination you will ever write, the one exam which your teachers, parents, relatives and even Sharma aunty  uses to scare the hell out of you - The Board Exam.

There has always been one guy in every class who locks himself in his study room when every body is outside celebrating holi, but don't worry you can proudly call your parents and tell them that - that guy also ended up as good as you are!! No matter how irresponsible and stupid celebrating holi just days before exams  feels at that time, I can tell you with 100% confidence that it worth's it and you can bet your life on that. When you grow older and look back you wouldn't remember the 3rd law of thermodynamics you were trying to mug up that day but you will repent on the fun you missed that day.

Cost of a window Pane....

Its Saturday! yippiiiii!!!
Saturday has been my favorite day since the day my butt was first strapped to the school bench and it has been so because of a obvious reason!! The next day is Sunday Funday.

Saturdays have been the days of careful planning so that funday could indeed be Funday, but, since my life got a mandatory upgrade from LIFE 2.0 ( awesome student days) to LIFE 3.0 (Mundane work life) , Friday has taken over Saturday's responsibilities. Initially Friday really worked hard and it even appeared that may be Friday will definitely fill in Saturday's shoes but eventually it started to hate its monotonous job. Because of irresponsible Fridays, my weekends have started to suck. I wait for the weekend with almost the same anticipation as before but the objective has changed. The Fundays changed to Napdays.

Come the weekends and instead of doing something Fun, now I just stick to my bed and hook my self to laptop and do NOTHING ( For those who think watching movies and tv series is something, nothing personnel dudes, but ya I insist I did NOTHING).  So this Friday I planned to do something different, something outdoor on weekends.

I woke up at 5 a.m. ( and "a.m" isn't a typo, its indeed A.M.) put on sport shoes and hit the road. For those  who don't know or don't remember how its like at 5 a.m, the sun has just risen up, there is still dew on the grasses and flowers, birds are chirping, Yes believe it or not all those poems and songs are true, and there is no traffic, well "no" is little exaggerated for bangalore so I stand corrected very Little traffic. I was enjoying this b-e-a-utiful morning while jogging and making myself promises that I should do it more often.

I stopped to catch my breath and sat on a park bench. In the park at-least 5-6 cricket teams were trying to play playing cricket and there was also a team who were trying to pull even a game of soccer. If I draw the pattern these teams were sharing the ground a really complex problem of set theory can be framed. As am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to solve it so I would rather skip.

The chaos of a missed catch, jamboree of a wicket, anger on missed run-out chance and groan from the soccer guy's injury vanished with a cracking sound of a window pane. It was a been there done that moment for me so I knew how terrifying it is. While staring at the window I already had a kind of image of whats gonna happen now, a angry guy with a face similar to any 80's 90's bollywood villain and a tummy rounder than the ball would appear, scold all the kids, beat as many as he could lay his hands on and then drag them to their parents to complain thus resulting in harsher punishments. It was a hopeless scenario with possibility of only above mentioned outcome.

After around 30 seconds something completely out of the books happened. A guy did come out, but he wasn't angry, he was rather worried, He wasn't fat either but he was very old and instead of scolding and beating the kids he inquired if everybody was fine and then gave the ball back with a smile. For first few minutes I couldn't believe my eyes, I tried to figure out answer of the universal question WHY?? but I couldn't, so I went to the guy.

   Me: Uncle Ji namaste!
   Uncle Ji: Namaste beta(son) namaste.
Me: Careful uncle ji, the pieces of glass.
Uncle Ji: of-course beta, I am just clearing them, don't worry.
Me: The window pane looks pretty expensive.
Uncle Ji: hahaha.. Ha beta (Yes son).
Me: so uncle ji ..aahhh.. mmmm.. wouldn't you ask their parents or somebody to compensate.
Uncle Ji: Beta, these kids remind me of my childhood, I can pay for this pane but if I had to pay for these memories I will be on road.. hahahaha.. So Its better I pay for the pane. hahaha..

That conversation left me without words. The good old days.... Bruised knees are indeed better than broken hearts and empty wallets. What I felt at that time can only be expressed by Jagjit singh's Guzzal in which a man is ready to give away everything, all his money, all his fame, all his gold to get back his childhood, that innocence and that sheer pleasure.
